Sewing Project

Last term, we completed a sewing project. For the project, the children had to create a fruit picture.
For this project, the child learnt plenty of new skills such as:

• Planning and creating their own piece of artwork.
• Threading a needle / tying a knot independently
  
• Practising running stitch without any assisted holes
  
• Cutting out templates and pinning these onto fabric correctly
  
• Adding details to their fruits using running stich
• Sewing their fruits onto a hessian background

The children found this challenging initially but each child tried their best and persevered throughout. This has made their final piece of work something that they should be proud of. Have a look below to see all of their hard work.
