At Kexborough Primary School, we recognise the importance of PE and School Sport and the impact it has on long term, healthy lifestyles. The intent of our PE curriculum is to provide all children with high quality PE and sport provision and we will use the current School Sports Premium Funding to enable us to get there. It is our goal for all children to be able to take part in as many different sports as and as a result of this lead physically active lifestyles. We strive to inspire our pupils through fun and engaging PE lessons that are enjoyable, challenging and accessible to all. We will endeavour to ensure that all children have access to extracurricular sports that will be run in an enjoyable and challenging manner by an experienced member of staff. We want our pupils to appreciate the benefits of a healthy and physically active lifestyle. Through our teaching of PE and inclusions of after school sports clubs, we will create opportunities for pupils to develop values and transferrable life skills such as fairness and respect as well as providing them with opportunities to take part in competitive sport. Our children will be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. We aim to ensure that children are able to master the skills of all sports that they participate in to ensure that they are ready for their next step in their sporting journey.
