EARLY YEARS PUPIL PREMIUM

What is Early Years Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is a Government fund given to eligible pupils to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to learn and achieve. If eligible we received £302 for Children in Foundation Stage 1 at kexborough Primary School.  This will be used to raise standards of progress and overcome barriers to learning: Poor attendance, language delay; behaviour including poor social skills; emotional well-being; poor physical development.
Who is entitled to Early Years Pupil Premium?  
Children aged 3 and 4 years old who attend state-funded education will be eligible for EYPP if they meet at least 1 of the following criteria:
 – their family gets one of the following:
·         Income support
·         Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
·         Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
·         Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
·         The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
·         Child Tax Credit (provided they are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16.190)
·         Working Tax Credit
·         Universal Credit
-they are currently being looked after by a local authority in England or Wales
-they have left care in England or Wales through:
·         Adoption                                                                                                                                       
·         A special guardianship order
·         A child arrangement order
