Today, we have completed our final dance lesson. This half term, the children have been learning a dance to the Kids Bop Shuffle (the video is below). During each lesson, we are looked at different sequences within the dance and practised dancing them in time to the music. Afterwards, we have looked at making our own dance sequence to the same music making sure we are keeping in time with the music. The children have been in groups to create their dance and then they performed them to the rest of the class. After each performance, the audience was able to give positive feedback for each performance. The improvement I have seen week on week has been amazing and I am so proud of what all the children have achieved. Well done Year 3! Today, the children have been dressed up for Number Day to make money for the NSPCC. To mark the occasion, the children brought in a number of their coins to match their age to give to charity. To start the day off, the class calculated the amount of money that we raised which was £31.66. Then, we completed a range of maths related activities including a multiplication dice game, playing on TT Rockstars in the computing suite, calculation colouring, a calculation code breaker and shape building using marshmallows. All the children have really enjoyed today as they were able to work both on their own and as a team. Have a look below to see what we got up to. |
