This half term in computing, we have been looking at computer networks and what makes them work. We first looked at a network being full of connections and then we discussed how these connections work. We first discussed that for a network to work there needs to be a switch which directly sends messages to other computers connected to the network. We then looked at how a server, Wi-Fi and other wireless devices such as iPads, laptops and phones play a role in the network. Afterwards, we went into the hall where the children were all given a job within the network and they had to connect themselves to the right part for the network to work correctly. The children really enjoyed the visit and we all had a lovely day. Have a look below to see what we got up to. During the last four weeks, we have started to learn some French greetings.
