In art this term, we have been creating seascapes, linked to our Vikings topic.  We spent a few lessons trying out different paint and collage techniques before designing and creating our final masterpiece to combine our new skills.

This term in music, we have been learning a song 'Ghost Parade'.  We spent some time learning the lyrics to the song before learning some more specific musical notations and symbols to enable us to add a glockenspiel part to the song.   

On the 1st December we gained an extra pupil, a naughty elf! He has been causing lots of chaos in our classroom like pouring cereal everywhere, mixing up our drawers and books as well as hanging our PE kits on the ceiling. The children thought it’d be a good idea to write to Santa to explain the problems that the elves are causing us and to ask him to send us some good elves! We will be writing our letters in our writing lessons and posting them next week! Take a look at the chaos of our year 5 classroom.
