Today we had a special visit by a Premier League football referee called Darren England. Just like a top-level match official we took part in a task to create equipment to make a referees life easier. In order to do this we had to use many skills such as:

• Communicating effectively
• Performing well under pressure 
• Working well in a team

We came up with lots of amazing ideas and then presented these to the class. Year 5 did a fantastic job today!

We have had a fantastic day in year 5 for World Book Day today! 
It has been lovely to see some amazing costumes, you really did bring a smile to our faces!
We have spent the day creating our own version of 'The Day the Crayons Quit'.  We have discussed and shared lots of ideas before creating our own version of the story.
