As I'm sure most of you aware, at the beginning of November, Year 6 decided they would like to raise money in order to fund their own theatre trip to see the production of 'The Boy at the Back of the Class' - one of the novels we study in Year 6. The trip was to cost around £700 which included the tickets and the coach ride. This started a whole new mission and the Year 6 children became entrepreneurs for months on end to fulfill their wish of raising enough money to visit the theatre. Of course, like anything they put their minds to, the children smashed their £700 target through the production of Christmas gonks, weekly tuck shops and bake sales. Today, their hard work paid off as it was finally the day they could visit the theatre. The show was absolutely amazing and well worth all of the hard work it took to get us there. BUT.. these money hungry children are not stopping here! They want to continue to raise money in order to buy themselves chips and ice-cream when they visit Ambleside on their residential in June! Watch out Lord Sugar, Year 6 are heading for the business world!
