Over the last couple of weeks, the children in Year 6 have been designing and creating their own 3d models of the Anderson Shelters used for protection during the war. They started by researching the different types of Anderson shelters and how they were made, before planning what materials and resources they would need. They then worked in pairs or small groups to create their shelters, paying particular attention to detail. Take a look at some of the completed shelters below - we think they look amazing! The children in Year 6 had a visit to Crucial Crew last week where they were able to take part in various scenarios throughout the day. At Crucial Crew, children learn of the dangers of drugs, internet abuse and bullying, stranger danger, knife crime, fire and rescue and the effects of hoax calls. |
