Clay - Under the Sea!

In DT, we have been working on designing clay tiles which link to our topic 'Blue Planet, Green Planet' with a theme which includes the different layers of the ocean. The pupils have worked hard to gather resources and ideas to design their own 'under the sea' themed clay tile, carefully selecting the materials they needed for their designs. Here are some photos from our first practical lesson. The clay was messy (as we soon discovered!) but just look at some of the detail the children were able to manipulate using various tools!
