Year 4 are visitors

Yesterday, Year 4 took a trip to Leeds City Museum. We were able to complete a workshop all about "The Romans" which is our current topic. We were able to hold authentic Roman artefacts, but we had to use special gloves as they were so valuable. In addition to this, the children were able to create their own mosaic design based on the Romulus and Remus story.

After the workshop, children were able to complete a self-led tour around the rest of the museum. They really enjoyed this, especially seeing a really "Mummy" in the Ancient Egypt exhibition.

The staff at Leeds City Museum were extremely impressed with the behaviour and knowledge of our children which all of our staff were really happy to hear. They even gave each of them a sticker due to their fantastic behaviour.

Year 4 are balancing!

Today, we started multi-skills in PE. This lesson should have been all about agility but as the temperature reached 29 degrees Celsius, we decided to change it. Instead, we allowed the children to become the teachers and they created their own obstacle race that focussed on balance. They had to work as part of a team with a range of apparatus. As a team, they created, tested and explained their own obstacle race and then we allowed children to try all of the different courses.
