Today, the Year 4 children are celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We have been creating our own Lord/Lady names. We generated this by putting Lord/LAdy before our middle name EG Lord Neil. We then added the last thing we ate with "ton" at the end EG Lord James Biscuitton. We then put the name of our street and added "shire" to the end EG Lord James Biscuitton of Uplandsshire.
The 4 boys below have all been taking part in guitar lessons on a Monday morning. They have all improved a lot since starting. Watch out in 10 years time as you may see a couple of them on BGT.Today, Year 4 had a brood of unexpected visitors. The ducklings from FS1 came to say hello. Most of our children really enjoyed holding them and learning about what is happening in FS1. Thank you to Miss Ashton for bringing them over!
Today, Year 4 completed their final performance for their Music unit. They have been learning to sing "Lean on me" by Bill Withers. They have also looked at timing with the children learning how to play the glockenspiel. The children completed a cold task at the start of this unit and the progression is amazing. Well done everyone!Today, we have completed our first cricket session as a whole class. The children showed me high levels of hand-eye coordination which really impressed me. We then moved onto practising under arm bowling. As we progress through the weeks, we are going to increase levels of difficulty and look at completing overarm bowling. I know that we have a few cricket players in this class, so we are going to have to make sure that we challenge them.
Well done to everyone and I am looking forward to next week. A big congratulations to one of the girls in our class who was able to bowl out Mr Benson. Unfortunately, nobody could bowl out Mr Brocksom. Better luck next time! (There are photographs to follow but they are not quite ready yet.) |
