Last week as a school, we were involved in some den building. For this, we were put in mixed aged groups and we worked together to make a den using sticks, cable ties and waterproof coverings. Then, we tested our dens by throwing water over them to see if they would keep us dry. All the children really enjoyed themselves and it is safe to say that some children were extremely wet at the end. Have a look below to see how we got on.Post from 20/5/22 Before the holidays, we had our annual KS1 sports day. The children really enjoyed working individually and as a group to score points for their team across the key stage. Each child ran a 50m sprint, a multi-skill race and a class relay. After all the points had be counted, it was announced that the green team had won. All the children did really well and they should be proud of themselves regardless of the result. Well done to all the children that took part! Post from 16/5/22 In maths, we have been looking at splitting objects, shapes and quantities into quarters. To start our maths topic off, we have been cutting up different foods making sure they are split into 4 equal parts. The children really enjoyed doing this practically and they particularly enjoyed eating the food afterwards! Have a look below to see how they got on. |
