This term our topic is ‘From Stone Age to Iron Age’. So far, we have learnt that:
The Stone Age is called the Stone Age because the tools were made of stone.
The earliest humans managed to survive by using sharp, stone tools to kill animals.
They moved around from place to place to keep warm and safe.
The dead animals provided food to eat and skins to keep warm and the animals bones were also useful for making tools.
This week, we learnt what the earliest signs of humans were and how our skulls have evolved over time!!! We then learnt about one of the earliest humans called the Boxgrove Man. Two volunteers in our class played the part of the Boxgrove man, whilst the rest of the class asked them questions about their life in the Stone Age! Our volunteers were very convincing!
