In science, the Year 6 children are learning all about the circulatory system. We have learned about the heart, blood vessels and blood. To help the children to remember the components of blood, they have made blood using simple household ingredients to represent; red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets. The children really enjoyed this practical activity and can confidently explain what blood is made up of and the functions of each component.
