On Tuesday, Year 5 went on a school trip to experience life as a Viking Settler. As always, this practical and immersive experience allowed children to fully grasp how it would have been to live in the era of the Vikings. They spent the day living as settlers and had to learn how to defend their land as warriors, collect and grow crops as farmers, how to make their own bread, entertain themselves with Viking board games and even had a go at making their own oil lamps in the pottery shed. We had a fantastic day and the children in Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed living as Viking settlers for the day. Comments are closed.
