Today in maths, we have been learning all about hundredths as part of a whole using lots of fun and practical activities.
We began by choosing one whole and cutting it into ten equal parts to represent tenths. Then, we carefully cut each tenth into ten equal parts to represent hundredths. After that, we recombined all the parts to make the whole again, which really helped us see how tenths and hundredths fit together. As a class, we explored real-life examples to help us understand:
