Exciting Space Event

26/2/2025

On Friday, February 28, 2025, we’ll get to see something amazing in the night sky—a planetary alignment! This means seven planets will line up in space, and we can see some of them from Earth.
Which Planets Can We See?
  • 👀 With our eyes: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn
  • 🔭 With a telescope or binoculars: Uranus and Neptune
When and How to See It
  • Best time: Just after sunset (around 6:00 PM)
  • Where to look: Find a dark place with no bright lights and a clear view of the sky.
  • What to bring: A telescope or binoculars if you have them (but you can still see five planets without them!).
Why Is This Special?
This doesn’t happen very often! The next time we’ll see a big planet alignment like this will be in 2040—a long time away!
This event links to our Earth and Space Science Unit, where we are learning about the solar system, planets, and space!
So, if you love space, don’t miss this rare and exciting event! 🌟🔭💫

Year 5’s Amazing Believer Dance Routine!

12/2/2025

Year 5 have been working hard over the past six weeks to perfect their dance routine to Believer by Imagine Dragons. They’ve shown fantastic coordination, creativity, and teamwork, mastering complex movements and supporting each other throughout.
Their resilience has been incredible, pushing through challenges and refining their routine with determination. Most importantly, they’ve grown in confidence, stepping out of their comfort zones to perform with energy and passion.
We are so proud of their efforts—well done, Year 5!

Number Day 2025!

7/2/2025

Today has been number day!
Picture
We have had a fantastic day in year 5.  We spent most of the day being adults!  We first got ourselves a job and calculated our annual and monthly income (after we paid the tax man!).  We then picked ourselves a flat to rent and a car to buy.
After working out our total expenses, some of us had a shock as to how little money we had left and had a quick change of plan in terms of which flat and car we wanted!
The best quote of today: "I don't like the tax man!"
