Today, Year 4 wrote up their masterpieces for their setting descriptions. All half term, we have been looking at the novel, "The Fireworkmaker's Daughter" and we have completed work around that including character and setting descriptions. We wrote up our final pieces today and they were amazing. The children were able to use expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials with a comma and a range of sentences including simple, compound and complex. Well done to all of the children for all of their work this half term. Next half term, we will be learning about a new novel which is always a favourite. I am not going to say what the book is called but I will give a clue. The main characters are called Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver!
