Cricket In Year 4

​Over the past three weeks, we have been incredibly lucky to welcome Dean, a specialist cricket coach, into school to work with our children. His sessions have been engaging, energetic and delivered to a very high standard, giving the children a fantastic opportunity to develop their cricket skills.

During the coaching, the children have been learning a wide range of important techniques including catching, batting, bowling and fielding. They have shown great enthusiasm in every session and have worked hard to improve their skills each week. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they practise and challenge themselves.

For the first three weeks, we were fortunate enough to enjoy the sessions outside, making the most of the space and fresh air. However, today’s poor weather meant we had to move indoors. Despite the change, the children continued to show excellent attitudes and remained focused throughout the session.

The children have been fantastic ambassadors for our school, listening carefully, trying their best and showing excellent sportsmanship at all times.
