The children have been working hard since the start of year 3. This half term in science, we are looking at rocks. The children have been enthusiastic to learn about this and have particularly enjoyed looking at all the different types of rock. The examples include slate, granite, marble, limestone, sandstone and amesite. During today's lesson, the children conducted an experiment to find the best type of rock for a kitchen counter. The children needed to test how hard and scratch resistant each rock was. The children then scored each rock out of 10 and then made a judgement on which rock would be best.
