Today Miss Ashton very kindly came to year 2 to show us the 5 ducklings that had hatched in nursery last week! The year 2 children were so sensible and calm when the ducks joined us. So calm in fact that the ducklings had a little sleep! Here are some of the photos we managed to get during all the excitement. 

This afternoon, year 2 learned how to complete running stitch for the first time. They used wool, plastic needles and rug canvas to practice their stitch ready for an exciting DT unit all about puppets! Here are some pictures we managed to take during a very busy, fun afternoon. Mrs Hebron was so impressed with how each member of year 2 really persevered with their stitching. 

Year 2 have been learning about the Festivals of Tabernacles, (which is also called Sukkot) by making their own Sukkah. Jews celebrate this festival to remind them of the 40 years they spent in the desert before they found the promised land of Israel. 
Children used card, paper and materials from the land to decorate their sukkah. They created some great miniature versions and wanted to share them with you.
