In art this half term, we have been looking at painting. Today's lesson, we looked at using appropriate brushes to paint different parts of a picture. To show this, the children had to paint different circles that were a range of sizes. To complete the task, the children had to use the correct brush size in order to paint each circle carefully so they didn't go beyond the lines. We discussed thicker brushes would be better for larger parts and thinner brushes would be better for edges and smaller parts of the picture. The children were really good at this and they all tried their best to choose the correct brush to make sure their painting was nice and neat. Have a look below to see them at work.
