In our story 'The Girl and the Dinosaur' a girl finds dinosaur bones on the beach. We have been digging for bones in the sand - but very carefully like archaeologists do! We've been creating pictures from sticks, pasta and pebbles and we have been learning to draw a dinosaur skeleton in detail. In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of subtraction and playing games to help us understand. It's been lovely to see children playing the games independently and using the stem sentence eg. five take-away three equals two. In one game the children were trying to beat me to take-away 5 bears until they got to 0. It was very exciting to see who could throw a dice to see how many to take-away each time and in the end it was a draw!!!!! Comments are closed.
