As part of our music curriculum we listen to different songs. Can you tell what kind of music we're listening to here? It's making us wave our arms and wiggle our hips. It's Happy by Pharrell Williams!

Every day we practise 5 minutes of handwriting in three smaller groups. We learn to sit still on a chair with our feet on the floor, pinching our pencil and holding the book firm with our opposite helping hand. This is a skill we need to practise so when we are ready to write sounds and words we know the correct letter shapes. 

Thank you grown-ups for your brilliant Bear Cubs - they came to school so well. It can be a scary thing but they all coped amazingly well and here are a few photos from our first week.
