It's with genuine emotion that I say goodbye to my Bear Cubs of 2024/2025. They have been an amazing class; amazing individuals who shine in their own ways and I know you'll all be very proud of them, as am I. They are ready for their next step now and I'll watch carefully to see how their journeys at Kexborough continue. Thank-you parents - I really appreciate the support you've given this year and I thank-you for the kind words, cards and gifts. Have a lovely summer - may the sun keep shining! One of our Bear Cubs has spent a long time today building in the construction area. It's lovely how he's taken inspiration from 'The Incredible Hotel' we read a few weeks ago. This is his amazing hotel!
This week our focus story has turned to 'Splash, Anna Hibiscus.' Anna lives by the sea in Africa and loves to splash with people in the sea, but all her family are busy... We have talking about features we might see and do at the seaside; our seaside and the seaside where Anna lives in Africa. We have been learning using words like jetty, parasol, shack and palm tree. In Maths, we have been learning what the 1 actually means in the numbers 11 to 19. |
